Just a quick shout out!

I just had to take a second to slow down and give a shout out to all the people that have visited and posted comments both here and at my YouTube channel and on many of my video posts. Especially at YouTube, look at the image here (click for larger version) to see what I mean.

In just 2 days since the NDA was dropped and I started putting out these videos, I have become the #7 most subscribed to YouTube account and the #17 most viewed today. I didn't even have a YouTube account until 2 days ago! That is impressive! Granted, I didn't do all this just to rack up nice YouTube numbers but I am very impressed with the gaming community on that site. The feedback has been unreal! Nearly EVERY video on Warhammer I posted got 5 star ratings, over 20 videos! The comments on my videos are like 99.9% positive comments and questions/requests for more videos and info. Amazing imo!I think this just goes to show that people are excited about Warhammer Online, and that they are starving for information. I'm trying to help, and having fun doing it. I know what a decision it can be when trying to decide what class to try, that's why I made these videos. I also know that there is alot of War vs. WoW debate and people having holy wars about it, but I think there is one hell of a fun gaming coming our way and people will try it no matter what any of us want to admit. Its not worth squabbling over, lets just have fun playing whatever game we wanna play or try.

I feel like the hundreds of comments, questions and feedback I've gotten over the last few days make me feel like I've been "out on the street" with the gaming community. Honestly, when I made these videos I had no idea if anyone would like them. I can now say that there is a huge swell of interest and support in this game from my based on this response and feedback. If you doubt that, go and farm through the comments on my YouTube channel and read for yourself. Check the comments here at this blog. Overwhelming.

On a final note, I think that last sentence summed it up. I have been overwhelmed with the response. I don't know if you guys have any idea how much typing I've done today, responding to comments and friend requests and messages/emails asking for opinion and info. Its been alot to try and keep up with and not get fired from my day job for completely slacking off.

So please bear with me. I know I had to miss some people's posts, their requests for info, forgot to say thanks, and all other sorts of stuff. I'll just ask for your forgiveness and that you please understand that I'll do my best. If you still want to ask something, please send a message/email and/or post a comment.

Now I'm gonna hit the sack. I got yet more video done tonite for the Rune Priest and Zealot and will be getting that up on this site and YouTube probably tomorrow at some point. /yawn

Anonymous said...: Thanks for the videos. Keep it up. I would like to see more informational videos about the UI, lore book, map, general gameplay mechanics (global cooldowns, casting, interrupts, etc). Dunno if you have any interest in doing one of those.

As others have said, your narratives are terrific! Once all the exploration videos are finished, you should start a series on your RvR conquests. It'd be a good laugh!

1) We can actually SEE what you are trying to show (as opposed to the typical "music videos" where all you see is toons running and jumping around and learning nothing about the game)

2) You show INTERESTING things at different levels (mounts, armor, gameplay elements, etc)

3) Your commentary is great! Clear, informative, and you show a good sense of humor

After seing so much fight over games in youtube I must say I'm also somewhat surprised and reliefed by the comunity watch on warhammer online.

Probably many of us are, like me, disappointed AoC players or (also like me) old and tired WoW players. There`s no reason to fight over IPs, just play whatever you like... and I`m placing my bet on WAR now. RvR focused endgame sounds like a winner to me. No more BG farm or 7 hours raids :)
