SWTOR: BioWare Begins Storytelling Excellence Early, Hints of Smuggler Class? (Video)

BioWare and LucasArt's upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic MMORPG is on many gamer's highly anticipated list for many reasons. One reason is BioWare's reputation for solid storytelling in their games. There's nothing better than being immersed in a good story, and few MMORPG's have done that well to date. BioWare is promising to deliver on that, and I for one, believe them. The game is not yet released, and no release date has even been mentioned, so we may not see this game for a while yet.

Regardless of unknown release dates, BioWare is still producing high quality videos on their official site to begin the story telling. So far, we've had one entry telling us some history behind the Jedi and Sith's long standing war. Today, BioWare released the second entry to pick up on that story, titled The Mandalorian Blockade is Broken. In this recent video there is heavy mention of Smugglers, leading me to personally believe that the inclusion of the smuggler as a playable class in SWTOR is all but inevitable.

I can't wait to see the great info that will come out at this year's E3, SWTOR is one more reason to anticipate the upcoming expo. Check out the videos below and shout back if you think smugglers are going to be announced soon.

Sven said...: They are doing the long burn on hype for this game. I like the constant updates but they need to be careful. Even good video games that over promise can drown in the ensuing backwash of a perceived under delivering.

br3ntbr0 said...: Pretty sure both videos are narrated by the same person. The narration is by Lance Henriksen, most people know him as the cyborg/robot named "Bishop" in the movie Alien(s).
