It looks like the official SWTOR site has been updated with information on the Smuggler class. The Smuggler joins the Trooper as the 2nd class officially announced for the Republic, leaving the Bounty Hunter as the lone officially announced Empire class on the web site. I guess we can still act surprised, given that I figured this out long before the class info was leaked out a few weeks ago through a magazine article. And yes, I'm shamelessly patting myself on the back for nailing the Smuggler guess :)
Hit the link above for 3 short video clips and descriptions of some notable Smuggler abilities. You can see one that mentions something like tricks of the trade, where a stun and head shot can end things quickly, taking cover through nimble footwork, and laying cover fire by spraying multiple enemies. There's also some new screen shots and artwork showing some really cool Smuggler outfits. I can't help but think the classes they've done so far look outstanding, and can't wait to see what's next!

I was expecting something slightly more crazy from bioware but anywho... :P
I'm still very annoyed that, until given evidence to the contrary, this 4 class per side thing is going to cause a dramatic population issue regarding Jedi. They needed to have multiple jedi classes, as per KoTOR consular/guardian/sentinel and even perhaps the specialized classes beyond that of Master, Weapon Master, whatever the 3rd one was of KoTOR2. That way the class design supports having a zerg of Jedi as they'd all be fulfilling different roles.
I myself want to play a Jedi and already I'm disappointed that this is going to be as fail as SWG. Unless we see a talent system like WoW where you can dramatically change your class role by spec'ing then I'm grossly disappointed in Bioware for not learning from one of SWG's failures.
Its a bit early to be casting out the "SWG failure" type of statements man! They've stated in interviews that each class will be deep enough to make the small selection tolerable.
I also read in an interview that they are doing an advancement system ala WoW's talents (possibly deeper/more advanced than that), so there will at least be that avenue for character development.
